Tauranga Racecourse can be found in the city of Tauranga which is in the sub-tropical region alongside the famous tourist destination, the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand.  The racecourse is considered the hub of horse racing events and meetings and is also host to many community events.

The racecourse feature Christmas at the Races which is a popular event for all. The Stella Artois Tauranga stakes is the headlining race that offers a prize of NZ$ 100 000. There is live music, plenty of entertainment for the children and super screen viewing. This event has become a major attraction.

Another major event held at this racecourse is the Interislander Summer Festival. This event is held in January every year and boasts summer attractions with the New World Summer Cup being the headlining race. This event offers a variety of horse races and plenty of organised entertainment like live music and activities for children.
